Gathering, Counter and Pub Height Tables...

...so what's the difference?

One of the latest trends in casual dining is the gathering table concept (see our Camden Collection or Largo Collection for perfect examples). The idea is to bring everyone together for a meal or just conversation - we all know how get-togethers tend to end up in the kitchen!

Another term also used for these gathering tables is "counter-height" -- think of a standard kitchen counter. The exact measurement of a gathering/counter-height table should be 36".

If you want the same general look, but a taller option, look for "pub height" sets. A pub table should measure 38" tall.

You'll often find that the terms are mistakenly used interchangeably. The best bet is to look for the actual height measurement of the table and find what works best for you.
